Analysis of Samples from the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill by GCxGC-TOFMS
20 Jul 2010: The recent oil spill off the coast of Louisiana, in the Gulf of Mexico, is the largest oil spill in US history. The ability to identify the chemical make-up oil samples from this spill will be an important tool utilized by those responding to this event. This application note demonstrates the ability of LECO's Pegasus 4D GCxGC-TOFMS system to identify a large number of components in a single analysis.

Pittcon 2011 Announces its Annual Call for Topics Conferee Networking Sessions

Rapid Screening Method for PAH Samples
07 Jul 2010: Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a class of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) that are carcinogenic and mutagenic in humans. This application note represents the fastest screening method available for Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) using a conventional GC system.
